Work Career:
At age of 14 began work as an acrobat for the circus, she also did contortionist, slackwire, and other acts.
After the circus Thelma worked in a "Medicine Show" with a monkey, Vaudeville in Chicago. Eventually ending up in the Food Service industry in the Twin Cities area. She worked at such places as Osceola Tavern (during prohibition), Emporium, Tracadero, Parker House, River's Edge, Women's City Club in St Paul, George Conroy's, University Club as the Catering Manager until 1983. She did not retire, at age 75, she quit to take care of her ailing husband.
